- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1/2 cup brown sugar (dark gives a much better cookie taste)
- 4tsp water
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 cup flour
- 1/4 salt (optional)
- 2/3 cups of mini chocolate chips
- Cream the butter and sugar
- Add the water and vanilla, mix well
- Add flour and salt, mix until combined
- Stir in the chocolate chips
- Now taste!
Actually, what I meant to say was, add to your favorite buttercream recipe. Put your chocolate chip cookie dough into your buttercream and mix well! Now taste! Yum!

- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1/2 cup solid vegetable shortening
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 4 cups of confectioners sugar (approx. 1 lb)
- 2 tbsp. milk (as needed)
- Cream the butter and shortening until smooth
- Add vanilla
- If looking for a super white icing, use clear vanilla
- Now add the confectioners sugar one cup at a time, mixing well after each addition and scraping sides of bowl
- After sugar is in, add the milk a little at a time, mixing until light and fluffy.
