Heating Rod: recommended by professionals for use on cakes that exceed 9″ in diameter or are 3″ or 4″ deep.
Use one or more heating rods to improve baking results with deeper, larger and novelty-shaped cake pans.
Heating Core: Grease the inside and outside of the heating core. Place the core in the center of the pan and fill with batter to the same level. When baking is complete simply remove the cake from inside the core, plug the hole in your cake, trim, then frost. Recommended for cakes larger than 12″ and for pans 4″ deep.
